Site Engagement Widgets: Subject Enrollment & Data Completion Rate

Modified on Mon, 12 Feb, 2024 at 9:56 AM

Learn about the two new Site Engagement Widgets: Subject Enrollment Rate (SER) and Data Completion Rate (DCR)

In the field of clinical study management, accurate and efficient monitoring of site performance is essential. To facilitate this, we provide two functional dashboard widgets: the Subject Enrollment Rate (SER) and the Data Completion Rate (DCR) widgets.

The SER Widget is designed to provide a detailed view of subject recruitment activities across different sites over a selected time frame. It enables users to monitor and analyze subject enrollment statuses, helping to identify trends and areas requiring attention.

Meanwhile, the DCR Widget focuses on assessing the average form completion rates at each site during a specific period. This tool is crucial for understanding data collection progress and ensuring the quality of data being gathered in clinical studies.

Both widgets provide functionalities like customizable layout options, pagination, and sorting capabilities. They also include anonymized data representation for users with restricted site access, including site personnel.

How to configure and use the SER widget

Click “+ Widget” on the top right of the dashboard and select the widget type "Subject Enrollment Rate" from the list.
Add up to three filters (Size, Specialty Area, Structure), if desired. These filters can be used to benchmark comparable sites with each other.
Click save to create the widget.
Hover over a bar to see detailed information about the site's recruitment activities and respective subject statuses.
Select the desired time horizon for data visualization.
Choose a sorting method from the "Sorting" dropdown. That way you can for example view the top recruiting sites.

How to configure and use the DCR widget

Click “+ Widget” on the top right of the dashboard and select the widget type "Data Completion Rate" from the list.
Click save to create the widget.
Hover over a bar for site-specific average form completion information.
Select from eCRF & ePro, ePro only, or eCRF only, as needed.
Choose a sorting method from the "Sorting" dropdown.

⭐ For both widget types you can pre-filter the visualized dataset by adding smart filters in the configuration pop-up. All smart filters that have been configured in the subject overview can be applied. That way the recruitment metrics (SER widget) could be visualized by cohort, for example.

Anonymous View for Site Personnel

Depending on a user's site access, the visualization may vary.

  • Study coordinators with all site access will be able to view the enrolment and completion data for all sites, including each site's name (see screenshots above).
  • Users with single site access, including investigators and other site personnel, will be able to view data from all other sites in an anonymised view, i.e. they will be able to see enrolment and completion performance and how they rank among all sites participating in that study, but they will not be able to see any site names to identify a site (see screenshots below).
