Create widgets

  1. Within your dashboard you can add a new widget by clicking on the button "+ Widget" in the top right corner.
  2. Add a name and, if necessary, a description.
  3. Select the "Widget type":

Dynamic:
  • Custom visualization = You can use this to visualize the value of a specific input field from your data collection (e.g. the gender distribution in your study).

  • Custom shortcut = This allows you to navigate to any part of the software with just one click (popular examples: Go straight to patient enrolment, straight to the study overview, etc.). From there, you can paste any link from within the software.

Static:
  • With static widgets you can visualize holistic data from your studies or surveys, such as the queries status, fill-out statistics, number of subjects recorded per week, etc.

Editing widgets

  • By clicking on the settings icon (⚙️) of a widget, you can configure your settings.

For numeric input fields (number, numeric smart field, single choice, dropdown, slider), you will also have the option to select benchmarking or progression widgets. See also these articles for more information (benchmarking widget, progression widget).

⭐ Good to know

When using the 'Data Visualization' widget for a single-choice selection field (e.g., dropdown), 'n/a' will be displayed for subjects who do not have a selected data point in this field. This occurs in two scenarios:
  1. The input form was triggered but not filled in (i.e., it should have been completed).
  2. The input form was not triggered at all (e.g., if the evaluation of the product was not required).
The message shown on the right only appears in those widgets that have a filter included. This is an indication that the filter condition has not yet been applied to any of the subjects.
⭐ Subjects recorded per week: This widget only records the subjects the user has access to (subjects that he/she created and subjects from his/her site). With access to all sites of a study all subjects that are assigned to this study can be seen. It records 12 weeks in retrospect only, continuously updating the starting date to 12 weeks ago. If a subject is deleted, the widget updates automatically and the subject will not be displayed in the widget anymore. The message on the right indicates that no new patient has been added to the study (to the site) in the last 12 weeks.

⚠️ Please also note that only those subjects with the status ‘active’ or ‘completed’ are displayed in the widgets. Subject data with the status ‘dropped’ or ‘ineligible’ is not included in the displays.
