How do I activate a survey?

Learn how to activate a survey.

After logging into the system, click on the Surveys overview.
Now you will see the survey you wish to edit. Click on the "settings"- button.

Here you can set the Status of your survey to "Active". Don't forget to click "Save changes" to proceed with the activation.

⚠️ Once the survey is activated, you cannot revert its status to "In Preparation" or "Testing." However, if you need to make updates while the survey is active, you can create a sandbox environment to implement and test your changes before publishing them to the active survey (see sandbox details here).

Finally, your survey will be marked as "Active" in your survey module and you'll be all set to start your survey.

When activating a survey you will keep the subjects and collaborators which have previously been already entered.

⭐ For amendments in particular, it makes sense to test the changes in a ‘test environment’ first. It is advisable to duplicate the survey for this purpose. You can read how to do this in the following article: How do I duplicate a survey?
