How can I set up validations within an input form? (Step 3)

Modified on Mon, 19 Aug, 2024 at 11:14 AM

In addition to creating validations within trigger events (study step 5), you can also create validations within an input form itself.

Our recommendation

⭐ Since we aim to have the creation of validations in a single place, we are planning to shift this feature to the trigger events. The possibility to create validations within and/or across input forms is only available within this study step (5). So for a better overview, we recommend entering all validations via the trigger events in step 5.

Creation within an input form:

⚠️ You can ONLY create validations that should appear within ONE input form, not across several input forms ➜ please see this in the following article about validations across input forms.

Click on the input field where the validation should be displayed. Now go to the "Validations" tab.
Select the desired condition from the drop-down list.

Select a message type:

  • Success
  • Warning
  • Error

Add some text of your choosing.
Now click on "Add validation" to save your settings.
